The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas.<br/><br/><b>Position Overview:</b><br/><br/>Works as directed by the Quality Manager, in support of  BOS-E inspection services at the New Campus - East in Springfield VA, Bethesda, MD, and/or Washington Navy Yard facility.  Provides quality control inspection activities on assigned project and/ or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons requirements. Regularly interacts with other employees, representatives from a variety of functional groups, and project management, suppliers, subcontractors and client on project. Works with limited direct supervision on assigned tasks.<br/><br/>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>Responsible for:<br/><br/>1)    Implementing inspection, examination, and testing procedures<br/><br/>2)    Recording inspection, examination, and testing data<br/><br/>3)    Planning inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment<br/><br/>4)    Evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results<br/><br/>5)    Reporting inspection, examination and testing results<br/><br/>6)    Providing leadership to lower-level QC Inspectors<br/><br/>7)    Evaluating the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>Required<br/><br/>* US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required<br/>* High School/Trade School diploma and 8 years of related construction experience or 2 years as a Quality Control Inspector Level.<br/>* Appropriate Quality Control Inspector Certification required within 12 months of employment.<br/><br/>It is anticipated that individuals will be certified to perform activities in one or more of the following areas (or subjects):   Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes. The individual will ensure the Mission's ESOH Plan & SOPs satisfy applicable Federal, state and local environmental regulations; and, he/she will implement Parsons (SHARP) Corporate Safety Policy for planning and execution of environmental tasks at each facility.
