Need

The Internal Auditor will support audit managers in the execution of financial, operational, and project audits, prepare and analyze reports in preparation for audit fieldwork, and maintain audit database and workpaper files. This position will rotate into other areas of the organization after 36 months.

Responsibilities

* Supports audit managers in reviews of projects and accounting operations.
* Develop understanding of business processes and controls through interviews, testing and analysis.
* Evaluates internal control risks associated with business and financial objectives.
* Assures that operations are in compliance with contracts, GAAP, applicable policies and procedures, Company objectives, and industry standards/best practices.
* Develops commercially sound recommendations to resolve control deficiencies.
* Position requires 5%-10% domestic and international travel. Occasionally, assignments may extend over a two-week period away from home. Week-end travel to/from audit assignment can be expected.

Qualifications

Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in public accounting, audit, or consulting in the engineering/construction industry: Big Four preferred.
* Strong analytical skills and familiarity with technology (e.g., Access, Excel, ACL).
* 4 year degree in accounting, finance, or business.
* Accounting/business-oriented qualifications desired (CPA, CIA, MBA, CFE, others).
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively alone, as a team member or as a team leader. Must be highly organized and able to meet schedules established.
