Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.<br/><br/>Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) - Electrician/Cabling Technician<br/><br/>Initially, this position will require the incumbent to work on, the verification and validation of the installation and maintenance of electrical cabling and systems e.g. 480 v AC down to 120 v AC down to mili-volt instrumentation and controls systems.  Inspect and monitor design and installation of low voltage and medium voltage building electrical systems, insuring they conform to contract requirements, code and industry standards and practices.  Review construction drawings and other documents to ensure that they comply with Program and Project objectives.  Observe ongoing work in progress and provide technical assistance, as requested . Implement and follow the Quality Assurance Program procedures. Observe punch list activities and Quality Control Testing.  Review Design-Builders Quality Control Reports for accuracy and completeness.  The ability to successfully interface with the customer and other technician team members is a must.<br/><br/>This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>Experience & Qualifications<br/><br/>* Clearance:  Candidate must possess TS/SCI with, at least a Single Scope polygraph clearance, with the understanding that Full Scope Poly will be required.<br/><br/>The successful candidate will have a High School diploma/GED and vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience.  The candidate should possess specific training, and licensing and advanced knowledge in a particular area of specialization, plus a broad working knowledge of other disciplines. Education and experience over several years must be sufficient in order for the incumbent to serve as a Supervising Engineer on a large project or several smaller projects.<br/><br/>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable.
