This worker connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source; installs air and water filters in completed installation, injects small amount of refrigerant into compressor to test systems and adds Freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure. POSITION OVERVIEW :

Works as directed by the Quality Manager, in support of BOS-E inspection services at the New Campus - East in Springfield VA, Bethesda, MD, and/or Washington Navy Yard facility. Provides quality control inspection activities on assigned project and/ or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons requirements. Regularly interacts with other employees, representatives from a variety of functional groups, and project management, suppliers, subcontractors and client on project. Works with limited direct supervision on assigned tasks.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for:

1) Implementing inspection, examination, and testing procedures
2) Recording inspection, examination, and testing data
3) Planning inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment
4) Evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results
5) Reporting inspection, examination and testing results
6) Providing leadership to lower-level QC Inspectors
7) Evaluating the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel

Required

US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required
High School/Trade School diploma and 8 years of related construction experience or 2 years as a Quality Control Inspector Level.
Appropriate Quality Control Inspector Certification required within 12 months of employment.

It is anticipated that individuals will be certified to perform activities in one or more of the following areas (or subjects): Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes. Need
We are seeking a fire protection engineer who has experience designing, testing and retrofitting fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will have provided fire protection engineering for projects involving laboratories, clean rooms, offices, and computer rooms. This position is a mixture of working in an on-site construction environment and an office design environment. You will be defining fire protection scope and budgets, selecting equipment, developing efficient installation schedules, determining material takeoffs, and coordinating activities with other disciplines on the team to meet our client's needs. In addition, you must be able to apply your knowledge of current fire protection technology. In this role, familiarity with industry practices and regulations plus the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers will be keys to your success.

· 8 years of related fire protection engineering experience in relevant projects and environments
