Will work independently and as part of a team. The Proposal Coordinator reports to and receives assignments through the BD Services Manager. Pasadena, CA-02671<br/><br/><b>Description:</b><br/><br/>Parsons--Designing the Future of Global Engineering.<br/><br/>FERC/NEPA and Environmental Permitting Specialist - Pasadena, CA<br/><br/>Parsons is actively seeking top talent!<br/><br/>Opportunity<br/><br/>We have an immediate need for a FERC/CEQA and Environmental Permitting Specialist to work full-time in Pasadena, CA on project-specific and business development assignments.<br/><br/>Responsibilities<br/><br/>* Prepare Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act), and related environmental permit applications and coordinate approvals with regulatory agencies.<br/>* Develop and manage business development opportunities for new transmission, pipeline and other corridor permitting projects.<br/>* Conduct detailed assessments of environmental permits and identify/write essential tasks for data management system.<br/>* Assist in the preparation of permit applications for pipeline and transmission line-related projects and facilities, and participate in environmental compliance program development.<br/>* Manage multi-disciplinary tasks or projects of small or moderate scope and complexity.<br/>* Manage environmental contractors and review technical documents related to environmental studies for pipeline and transmission line projects.<br/>* Manage task/project budgets.<br/>* Perform site surveys in support of compliance projects.<br/>* Prepare memoranda, reports and proposals with minimal supervision.<br/>* Interact with clients and periodically attend client meetings.<br/>* Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.<br/>* Travel to field sites occasionally.<br/>* Allocate time between project-specific and business development activities approximately 60% and 40%, respectively.<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>* 10 - 20 years experience permitting expertise in NEPA and FERC procedures resulting in project approvals.<br/>* BS (minimum) or MS in environmental science, engineering, planning or related field.<br/>* Experience working with FERC.<br/>* Experience working with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Park Service a plus.<br/>* Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.<br/>* Ability to work independently and effectively on project teams.<br/>* Task management/proposal writing experience.<br/>* Demonstrated success in business development activities involving permitting, regulatory compliance, environmental studies, or planning.<br/><br/>Experience a dynamic global company that is committed to a sustainable world and the communities it serves.
