		<title>Health, Safety and Security, Coordinator Job (Aiken, SC, US)</title>

Safety is our highest value in all we do.   <br/><br/>     POSITION OVERVIEW   :    <br/><br/>  Health, Safety and Security Coordinator (HSSC) is responsible development and execution all programmatic aspects under his/her cognizance with minimal supervision. The HSSC is a critical element of the Project's Assurance Organization and the Project's management team. HSSC oversees and evaluates Project performance relative to Department of Energy Title 10 regulations issued pursuant to the Price Anderson Amendments Act and the Bob Stump National Defense Authorization Act (BSNDAA), e.g., 10 CFR 820, 830, 835, 851). This Position requires an expert proficiency with PAAA and BSNDAA Title 10 regulations, associated DOE Office of Health Safety and Security Guidance, and applicable DOE Directives. The candidate will be expected to be an integral part of the Project's senior management team, and interface with the SRS PAAA Coordinator and the DOE Office Health Safety and Security. The HSSC must be able to develop all programs necessary for the Project to successfully meet the Department of Energy's expectations for an effective PAAA compliance program.  <br/><br/>     SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES   :    <br/><br/>  The Assurance organization provides independent oversight of the Project's management system performance to identify organizational weakness before they emerge as significant events or conditions.  <br/>  The HSSC is responsible for monitoring and evaluating, Project performance in the areas of nuclear safety, quality assurance, radiation protection, and worker health and safety.  <br/><br/>  The HSSC will track and trend issues and events, and report these issues and events in the DOE Noncompliance Tracking System, as required by DOE regulations and guidance.  <br/><br/>  The HSSC will routinely review Condition Reports (the Project's general issue reporting mechanism) for reportability and potential adverse programmatic performance trends.  <br/><br/>  The HSSC participates in critiques of "self-identifying" events and is responsible for developing root cause analyses to support the development of corrective actions.  <br/><br/>  The HSSC must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write point papers for senior management consideration and prepare and present analyses of conditions or events to senior management. The HSSC must also have demonstrated knowledge of and skills to develop various performance measures for review and evaluation by senior management.  <br/><br/>   PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:   <br/>  Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree and a minimum of  10 years of experience in DOE enforcement and oversight management support.   <br/><br/> SKILLS/COMPETENCIES     :   <br/><br/>  Expert level understanding of DOE Directives, particularly Title 10 requirements pertaining to nuclear safety management, radiation protection and worker health and safety.  <br/>  Expert level understanding of performance monitoring through performance indicators  <br/>     Excellent verbal and written communications skills.]]></description>
