TS/SCI Clearance with Poly REQUIRED*

Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) - Electrician/Cabling Technician

Initially, this position will require the incumbent to work on, the verification and validation of the installation and maintenance of electrical cabling and systems e.g. 480 v AC down to 120 v AC down to mili-volt instrumentation and controls systems. Inspect and monitor design and installation of low voltage and medium voltage building electrical systems, insuring they conform to contract requirements, code and industry standards and practices. Review construction drawings and other documents to ensure that they comply with Program and Project objectives. Observe ongoing work in progress and provide technical assistance, as requested . Implement and follow the Quality Assurance Program procedures. Observe punch list activities and Quality Control Testing. Review Design-Builders Quality Control Reports for accuracy and completeness. The ability to successfully interface with the customer and other technician team members is a must.

This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.

* Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with, at least a Single Scope polygraph clearance, with the understanding that Full Scope Poly will be required.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma/GED and vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience. The candidate should possess specific training, and licensing and advanced knowledge in a particular area of specialization, plus a broad working knowledge of other disciplines. Good communication and analytical skills and a working knowledge of computer systems and software application programs are a must.

The following is a general description of the desired skill sets for this position:

- Must be a U.S. citizen

- Good mechanical skills related to general fabrication, welding and/or machine shop practices

- Capable of learning new skills through training and on-site experience

- Ability to learn through training and on-site experience, the operation of general laboratory equipment

- Capability of communicating and presenting information verbally and in written formats

- The willingness to learn, through training and on-site experience, technical skills.

- Ability to read and understand fabrication, Process Instrumentation & Design (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and electrical drawings is desired

- Capability to be a self-starter with minimum supervision is a plus

- Electricians License Required

Vendor Data Coordinator

Parsons is seeking a Vendor Data Coordinator in Aiken, South Carolina. Successful candidate will perform a variety of document management activities, communications and information management (IM) tasks and activities including staff support, publishing, records, administrative communications, and workgroup management (document control, information systems and technology support).

This is a six month casual position with the potential of becoming full-time.

Qualifications

Requirements

1. Coordinates the flow of technical documents for review (RFIs, NCRs, SDRs, invoices, data books, drawings, specifications, calculations) between project procurement, finance, operations, engineering, construction, quality assurance, and other support groups.

2. Expedites review, signature approval, and release of supplier and project documents.

3. Establishes and maintains files and computerized indexes for vendor supplied documents. Generates electronic/hardcopy reports as needed by the project or management.

4. Acquires and distributes publications and forms using manual or electronic means.

5. Provides guidance to ensure publications and forms meet prescribed style and format requirements.

6. Creates manual and automated files.

7. Operate, track and manage controlled documents and automated records in information management systems (EDMS, DMCS, Excel, ParShare).

8. Provide all materials for organized and efficient transfer of documents to record storage.

9. Review vendor data in connection with Section I and III purchase order requirements.

10.Identify process improvements for information systems requirements to support mission needs.

11.Coordinates activities with Document Control, including distribution and auditing controlled documents, maintenance of electronic department directories, tracking and reporting on document review progress.

12.Perform archival activities for controlled documents and validation files.

13.Analyzes and organizes all technical documents supplied by vendors including submittals (RFI/RFD, Drawings, and Field Action Memos). Provides assistance to improve the quality of and requirements for vendor supplied information.

14.Makes recommendations regarding better methods for creating reports/trending analysis and improving the appearance of Company presentation materials.

15.Contacts Technical Reviewers, and/or subcontractors to coordinate and expedite the timely receipt of vendor data, or related engineering data to meet schedule requirements of project.

16.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).

Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform complex administrative tasks in an efficient and high quality manner. At least two years direct experience in use of and management of document control, procedures and publications, quality control, or engineering document systems for complex tasks. Experience in engineering, nuclear project, or scientific fields is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to use office equipment that will include copiers, scanners and plotters and to use data bases and electronic information systems proficiently. Evidence that candidate has capability to handle high volume work of phone, email and oral communications. Demonstrated excellent keyboard, phone and email skills is also essential. Preferred candidate would have experience in the following software and data bases: Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Access, ParShare/Microsoft Share Point, Parsons Engineering Document Management System or equivalent, Parsons Documented Material Control System or equivalent procurement and government property system. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal are required, and the ability to interface with engineering, quality, safety, administrative and management personnel is required. Experience in positions requiring significant understanding of research, development, engineering and other technical information is desired.

Physical: Sitting: Frequently, at desk/computer/in meetings. Walking/Standing: Occasionally, moving between work areas. Lifting: Moving records from desk to file drawers and occasional lifting of a file box.
