		<title>Construction Superintendent Job (Aiken, SC, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[POSITION OVERVIEW   :    <br/><br/>  Plans, organizes, and supervises specific portions of construction work such as mechanical systems, rigging, electrical, etc.  Applies expertise and specialized talents to guide the efforts of the assigned craft.  Willingness to relocate to construction site <b>Location:</b>s is expected. Availability to work any shift is required.  <br/><br/>     SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES   :    <br/><br/>  Organizes and allocates the workforces in various areas to maintain adequate manpower balance for the scheduled construction activities.  <br/><br/>  Monitors manpower requirements, efficiency, and productivity of construction crews.  <br/><br/>  Coordinates the material and equipment requirements with planned engineering and construction schedules.  <br/><br/>  Provides technical direction in construction methods to craft supervisors and foremen to attain required quality control.   <br/><br/>  Assists in the selection and designation of craft foremen.  <br/><br/>  Verifies layouts with field engineers and ensures craftsmen maintain the established horizontal and vertical controls.  <br/><br/>  Coordinates work efforts between various subcontractors and company workforce.  <br/><br/>  Maintains production controls and verifies the construction progress at prescribed intervals.  <br/><br/>  Understands and applies the company labor relations policies.  <br/><br/>  Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.  <br/><br/>  Personally supervise direct hire craft on fabrication and installation of Mechanical/ piping systems on large construction project and/ or NQA1 fabrication shop environment.  <br/><br/>  Requires excellent communication skills coupled with a strong technical background and or craft experience in all piping materials, installation methods, and relevant code, specification and procedures.  <br/><br/>  Interface with piping/mechanical field engineers and e  nsure current revision documents are utilized for fabrication/installation of piping/mechanical systems.  <br/><br/>   PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:   <br/>  4-year degree in construction-related field (or equivalent mechanical construction-related work experience), as well as 8 to 10 years of experience in field construction (mechanical) is required.  Experience in the construction of large mechanical/piping, civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred. Personal experience in supervising direct hire craft performing installation of piping materials on heavy construction project. Supervision experience at Savannah River Site (DOE) or nuclear facility a plus. Personal experience in supervising direct hire craft performing piping fabrication in a nuclear/ NQA1 fabrication shop environment desired. Previous welding experience needed.   <br/><br/> SKILLS/COMPETENCIES     :   <br/>   Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, pipe welding/fabrication and installation, mechanical systems installation as well as a familiarity with construction industry practices. 		<description><![CDATA[POSITION OVERVIEW   :  <br/>  Under direction of a degreed engineer, performs a variety of basic to moderately-difficult engineering support assignments requiring a fundamental knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.
