		<title>Electrical Engineer - Junior Job (Annapolis Junction, MD, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Electrical Engineer - Junior-02667<br/><br/><b>Description:</b><br/><br/>Jr. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER<br/><br/><b>Position Overview:</b><br/><br/>Parsons has submitted a proposal to the Maryland Procurement Office for an ID/IQ-based IV&V program to provide: reviews of third party A/E work, conduct self-performed studies and analysis, testing & measuring, specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews, commissioning services and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders. The duration of the contract is five years with four one-year options.<br/><br/>The Electrical Engineer position will support IVV delivery orders as required, oversee the provision of third party A/E (electrical) planning and design reviews, specialized electrical engineering services, commissioning services and construction oversight, as required. The position is based out of the planned program management office in Annapolis Junction, MD (adjacent to Ft. Meade) with travel as necessary for specific delivery orders.<br/><br/>Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site <b>Location:</b>s, is expected.<br/><br/>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>Performs oversight reviews of third party A/E studies and designs.<br/><br/>Performs engineering support effort for oversight of third party construction efforts. Leads oversight reviews of shop drawings, responses to construction Requests for Information (RFI's), change order analysis, and support construction inspections.<br/><br/>Performs studies, analyses, and consulting services and supports preparation of independent cost estimates, as may be requested by the Government.<br/><br/>Performs reviews of Government design and construction standards and recommends changes to the standards for government approval.<br/><br/>Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.<br/><br/>Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.<br/><br/>Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.<br/><br/>Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.<br/><br/>Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.<br/><br/>Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.<br/><br/>Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.<br/><br/>Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.<br/><br/>May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.<br/><br/>May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.<br/><br/>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:<br/><br/>4-year degree in Electrical Engineering required, and 0-5 years of electrical facilities design experience. Professional Engineer registration is required.<br/><br/>US Citizenship is also required. Candidate must be able to successfully complete requirements for TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
