Project
Parsons is providing facilities management, operations and maintenance, site and space use planning, environmental compliance, engineering, security, emergency management, freight and vehicle management, and custodial care. for a secure agency within the Department of Defense (DoD). This is a restricted access facility and employees will be required to have a current DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with ability to obtain SCI. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to a safer world for future generations.
Need
Parsons is seeking a Stationary Engineer to support this work. The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas.
The Stationary Engineer operates and maintains one or more systems that provide an establishment with such services as heat, air-conditioning (cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air), refrigeration, steam or high-temperature water or electricity. Duties involve: observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation, adjusting controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided, recording in logs various aspects of the system's operation, keeping the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order. This engineer may direct and coordinate activities of other workers (not stationary engineers) in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems. The classification excludes head or chief engineers in establishments employing more than one engineer.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. Workers are required to be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment; workers in establishments producing electricity, steam, or heated or cooled air. Journeyman or Masters License preferred in HVAC or Electrical or both.
5 years of Stationary Engineer experience required. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
Computer Skills -Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to meet requirements needing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
