Principal Scheduler, Soyo, Angola

The Principal Scheduler will develop, establish, and maintains all aspects of the planning & scheduling effort on one or more of the complex and demanding projects under the program. Generates planning & scheduling deliverables including preparation of baseline and current schedules, tracking of actual work against schedules, field activity measurement, activity physical % complete, performing variance analysis studies, and updating of weekly operating reports.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project schedule problems.
-Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides schedule and statistical reports.
-Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project schedule control.
-Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
-Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against an established baseline schedule.
-Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages and coordinate corrective actions.
-Keeps project and company management fully informed.
Requires 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Business (or related field).
Requires 10 years planning & scheduling experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and construction management.
Requires proficient PC skills including proficiency in other software used in the Project Controls Department -- such as Excel, Microsoft Project, and Primavera.
Requires leadership and good client relationship skills.
Requires working at Soyo, Angola project location (rotation is 1 day transit to Soyo, 42 days onsite Soyo, ,1 day transit out of Soyo, 12 days off).
Requires ability to work 10 hours per day and 7 days per week while onsite Soyo.
