COMSEC Custodian (San Antonio, TX and Ft Gordon, GA)

Duties & Responsibilities

Provides support to the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and is responsible for the receipt, custody, issue, safeguard, accounting for and when necessary, destruction of confidential materials. The COMSEC Custodian is further responsible for the maintenance of up-to-date records and the submission of all required accounting reports Insight.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for managing all aspects of the COMSEC account.
· Develops, implements, administers and monitors COMSEC policies, procedures and programs.
· Interpret and apply the Federal Clients' Common Security Site Manager (CSSM) Policy Manual 3-16 and other relevant publications to ensure compliance with government requirements and regulations.
· Support visits and inspections; provide keying material to all users; ensure accountability of all material; provide disposition/destruction guidance and ensuring proper destruction of material.
· Apply Federal Clients' policy direction to specific operating requirements and develop guidance for applying security and COMSEC policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations.

This position will be filled upon contract award. Contingent offers will be made in anticipation of a Feb/March 2010 award.

Experience & Qualifications

Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph

4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) and at least 2-4 years of progressive Communication Security experience

A working knowledge of current software applications and technology is required. Also requires strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to effectively communicate with team, users and clients on technical and non-technical subjects.

Also required: Proof of US citizenship
