Senior Electrical Construction Inspector

Need
The Construction Inspector will be responsible for providing daily quality inspections and surveillance of the contractor's Quality Control Program and attending and documenting meetings between construction contractor and Corps representatives

Specific responsibilities include:
-Evaluates construction Contractor's Quality Control activities
-Notify Corps of any potential claims or disputes and any potential disputed interpretations of contract documents
-Participates and takes notes at pre-final and final inspections; conducts reviews of the contractor's maintenance of accurate as-built drawings and provides comments on completed as-built drawings on a monthly basis
-Coordinates schedule of start-up tests, demonstrations, and field instructions
-Provides written comments on field conditions and impact of changes recommended or requested by others
-Provides construction photographs documenting progress and problem areas;
-Provides advice on general construction methods and practices as may be requested by the Corps

Requirements

10 years of field construction/quality experience and electrical installation experience in a commercial or industrial environment
4 year degree in Electrical Engineering
Must possess a thorough knowledge of current electrical installation practices, electrical and building codes, testing methods for electrical installations, and electrical safety practices
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity with industry practices and regulations
