Project Controls Manager- Fort Edward, NY

-The Project Controls Manager will support the Construction Manager as required in the development and implementation of procedures, systems, and reports to address Project status and forecasts.
- Develops and maintains a cost/schedule control system to provide , the Program Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Site Manager with the decision making tools for project control.
- Develops and maintains a cost estimating capability to develop construction estimates, prepare construction change notice estimates, and review contractor-prepared estimates.
- Develops and maintains an automated computer system based on and associated with Primavera that allows for the efficient capturing, storing, retrieval, and reporting of technical and business information including cost and schedule status and document control.
- Establishes and manages the project controls staff on site and monitors performance, progress and department budgets. Assess the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages and assists project staff in developing work-around and schedule recovery plans.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of the document control system for the project using Primavera and Expedition software.
- Develops and creates weekly, monthly and special reports for the client and project management staff to monitor progress and status of the project, including input from contractors.
THE ESSENTIALS:
- 15 years of directly related experience in design/construction projects and 10 years project control experience on large construction and/or environmental projects are required. At least 5 of those years should be in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling for large construction projects is required.
- BS/BA degree in an engineering discipline, construction management, or business administration is required.

· Effective oral and written communication skills
