The Deputy Design Manager Midfield Terminal in collaboration with the Design Manager will be responsible for the overall design of the Midfield Terminal Building and Complex.



JOB DESCRIPTION



Design Support - Manages and oversees design consultants for the Midfield Terminal to ensure that design work remains on schedule, within budget and expectations. Coordinates design phase activities/deliverables with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, stakeholders, agencies, tenants, airlines, etc. relative to facility design and systems. Chairs and conducts design progress and coordination meetings, prepares agendas, coordinates presentation material and prepares meeting minutes for same. Closely liaises with PMC Engineering Support and Design Managers of interfacing projects during deliverable reviews to ensure quality, completeness and expectations for design deliverable documentation. Ensures timely issuance of multiple construction tender packages.



Engineering Support - Ensures timely issuance of multiple construction tender packages. Coordinates constructability reviews, value engineering exercises and construction submittal reviews by consultants. Reviews and provides input on variations and change orders relating to design Manages validation of record documents and post occupancy evaluations. Performs other RESPONSIBILITIES: associated with this position during construction as required. Review and provide input on variations and change orders relating to design.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



15 years minimum professional experience on large commercial projects with minimum of 5 years in a design management role for International Airport terminal building facilities of similar scope and size. Bachelor degree in Architecture - professional registration preferred. Proven, successful experience in coordination and facilitation of stakeholders, agencies and end-users requirements.
