We invite you to explore our team as a Senior Project Architect in the Oil Sands Industry.
Parsons is seeking candidates to support site engineering operations in Western Canada. Most work is being performed within the Province of Alberta and is supported from Calgary. The position requires highly motivated, self driven, technically competent individuals, with oil sands industry experience.
The Architect is responsible for implementing, monitoring and facilitating standard practices as they relate to major projects within the oil sands industry.

Required KNOWLEDGE, qualifications, skills, and experiences:
Excellent communication skills (Verbal, oral and written)
Thorough and working knowledge of:
· Oil sands industry Architectural principles, theories, concepts and practices
· Alberta environmental and building codes, certifications (ABSA), standards and trade practices
BS or MS degree in Architecture is required.
The proven ability to build team consensus, successfully lead within a matrix organization, motivate others and to consistently meet objectives.
10 years of professional experience in the oil sands industry, at least 5 of which should include managing or supervising others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
