Video Engineer, Senior

Duties & Responsibilities
The incumbent will serve as the Video Engineering lead providing all coordination, management, resource management, and administration of all on-site video-related activities. The senior engineer will be the liaison between the COR and the contractor personnel in all matters pertaining to the performance of the contract work. The core contract work includes the management and operations of video technical equipment and the use of video production concepts, interpreting drawings, specifications, and other related documents. The senior engineer will lead other engineers and technicians and be solely accountable for all video related work including the project management, technical consultation, and team supervision.
Key Duties:
· Establish and manage video engineering process, procedures, policies and standards
· Design and develop video productions
· Procure, operate and maintain proper video engineering tools and equipment
· Train, manage and administer all video engineers and technicians
· Oversee and certify to contract standars all video production work
This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.

Experience & Qualifications
Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with counter intelligence (CI) polygraph clearance.
Minimum of 10 years demonstrated Crestron programming experience OR Crestron Programming I Certification and five (5) years of demonstrated experience within the last 7 years. Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience in VidCAD and/or other CAD programs within the past 5 years.
5 Years of Experience/Working Knowledge covering a minimum of 17 of the following skills:
1. Analog, SDI and HD SDI video distribution standards
2. Digital video filtering and scalable video coding
3. Compression & decompression techniques included MPEG and transport stream decoding
4. Scan rate conversion, genlocking, color phase
5. Encoding and decoding of television standards such as NTSC, ATSC, PAL
6. LCD application in video monitoring
7. Soldering and component level printed circuit repair
8. Signal theory and analysis
9. Projection system setup and logarithms
10. Audio speaker placement
11. Audio processing
12. Image and video processing
13. Multimedia signal processing and technology
14. AES/EBU or AES3 digital audio interface standards
15. Cable termination (Fiber, Coax, Audio etc)
16. Set-up and maintenance of various record and playback broadcast machines and broadcast cameras
17. Operation and setup of digital video editing systems
18. Operation and set-up of various production switches
19. Operation and maintenance of audio mixers, microphones, and various audio decks
20. Wired and wireless microphone systems and configurations
21. Design and installation of audio support systems from start to finish
22. Perform system integration using custom fabrication
