Multiple Systems Administrator Roles (MS, Windows, Solaris, Linux) (Ft. Gordan, GA)

Duties & Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator is responsible for support for installing, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems software, hardware and equipment. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. As part of this role, the administrator will ensure the servers are backed up, the server data is secure from unauthorized access and able to be recovered should an outage or other incident occur. The candidate will perform script programming, maintain day-to-day operations, monitor and resolve problems relating to systems administration..

Key Duties:

Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
Participate in the design and enhancements of computer systems and their associated architectures including all hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based
Prepare and execute refresh schedules, cost estimates, and provide updates.

This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.

Experience & Qualifications

Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with full scope polygraph clearance.

Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred plus

Must possess 5 year of experience in Unix or Microsoft systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based and one of the following:
A minimum 4 years of MS Active Directory (AD) experience
A minimum 3 years Unix/Linux support experience.
Certification in one of the following:

Microsoft - MCSA
Sun Solaris -SCNA, SCSECA, SCSA,
Linux RHCE

Proof of US citizenship is required
