Configuration Management Specialist
Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the US government. Configuration Management Specialist, multiple positions for Ft. Gordan, GA
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for configuration management planning to include Machine Room Management duties & responsibilities. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Responsible for configuration planning. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met. Supports quality assurance process audits.
Key Duties:
Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation.
Leads the configuration change control process including the Change Requests meetings
Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into related system documentation.
Tracks all problems and changes in system documents and reports changes and current configuration.
Develops criteria, performs and reports on configuration audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.
This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.
Experience & Qualifications
· Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with counter intelligence (CI) polygraph clearance.
· Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred, with 8 years of proven experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate and update process and procedures for the change management system
Experience in a leadership role responsible for Change Management
ITIL Master Certification a plus
Proof of US citizenship is required
