Safety Manager Job

Provides expertise and technical assistance to senior project management personnel for the implementation of the company safety policy by establishing and managing a safety program that meets or exceeds all current standards.
Represents the company in all safety matters pertaining to internal and external activities.
Receives assignments in terms of broad objectives from the Corporate Safety Director, ME. Reviews, interprets and provides assistance on safety regulations and standards.
Participates in the development and implementation of design office and project safety plans and assists with updates as necessary.
Assigns and provides technical supervision of safety performance, qualifications and programs.
Reviews contractors and vendors field performance with regard to safety performance, qualifications and programs and provides feedback and guidance where necessary.
Conducts multiple project safety audits through review and analysis of performance of safety records and safety inspections of various Location:s on the project in compliance with SHARP Management, client requirements and JV policy.
Participates with project management representatives in pre-job conferences to present the project safety policy and explain implementation on the project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and/or assigned by senior project management and or sector management.
Minimum 4 year college degree in Safety Engineering/Safety Management or similar cirriculum from an accredited/recognized university
Minumum 9 years experience in safety management, primarily in the construction industry
CSP or CMIOSH desirable but not required
Must have Middle East experience, a minimum 2 years
Strong preference to local candidates
Valid UAE driving license
