Principal Mechanical Engineer Job

Management of mechanical design packages reporting to the designated Project/Design Manager. Preparation of mechanical system designs and specifications covering water and wastewater pump stations and treatment plants, district cooling systems, infrastructure and related facilities. Preparation of presentations, design reports and tender documents. Supervision of mechanical engineers and CADD.
Design of water distribution networks, tanks and pump stations and wastewater pump stations and treatment plants including knowledge of traditional treatment processes and membrane based systems. Detailed understanding of equipment selection for treatment works and pump stations and fully conversant with pipeline design, valve and penstock sizing and selection. Thorough knowledge of materials selection. Ability to perform detailed calculations using MS Excel. Fully conversant with alternative contract types and preparation of prequalification and tender documents / evaluation reports.

Minimum of 15 years experience preferable with at least 5 years in the Middle East. BSc in Mechanical Engineering with PE or Chartered Engineer status.
