Design Manager Job

Responsible for all design management of the project for 135 private, high-end, luxury residential villas for sale comprising a total of 148,720 square meters of construction. Primary responsibility focused on design review and management. Closely liaises with Client stakeholders, Architect/Engineer of Record, Construction Contractor and on Site PMC consultant staff for Project Management, Construction, Contracts and Project Controls.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Chairs and minutes periodic design meetings with the Client, A/E of Record, Contractor and third part procurement agents as applicable.
Reviews and maintains design and procurement schedules, coordinated with planned design and construction activities as part of the overall Level 1 schedule.
Coordinates development of RFP documents for procurement services, negotiation and award recommendation.
Coordinates review and approval of design items prior to agent procurement.
Coordinates value engineering assessments for alternative specification and quantity of design items and prepares recommendation reports of same for Client approvals to include cost, schedule and quality assessment.
Authors all design related correspondence for issue by the PM.
Verifies completeness and adequacy of submittal reviews and RFI responses, and coordinates input from design architects where required prior to return to the facility construction Contractor(s).
Performs design deliverable document review and other activities associated with design completion management as assigned.
Prepares weekly and monthly procurement status reports and prepares design status reports.

Minimum 15 years experience and bachelor's degree in either Engineering or Architectural with at least 5 years experience in similar high ends projects with prior management role.
